Looking to book deluxe studio at Jambo AKL. I understand they are on 5th floor , If I book Resort view /standard , iand want near pool and lobby which bldg is best to request Giraffe or Zebra?

That category would be Zebra. Also could try for Kudo. Any basic resort view on that trail will get a bonus partial look at the Sunset Savanna.

See this room map of Jambo: www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-akv/floor5-large.html. The DVC rooms that are in that Giraffe Trail section are value rooms not resort view, so Zebra would be the request, although just requesting pool view and near lobby should also be considered.

A different question is whether you would prefer a resort view room with a savanna view. See the map about half-way down the page in the post provided by sndral on this page: www.disboards.com/threads/the-official-akv-owners-and-lovers-thread-come-and-chat.1815576/page-221. The room locations shown in blue are resort view rooms. More than half the resort view rooms actually have savanna view not pool view. If you want a resort view room that has savanna view a request to make is for a room on the Kudo Trail side of the building since all resort view rooms along that side of the building have savanna view.
