AKL still giving out carved animals?

We received a carved giraffe during our stay at AKL concierge last August. Just wondering if they are still giving these out?

I didn't get a carved animal last September. Hmmm, I don't know the answer but I'll bet the experts on the resorts board can give you an answer about this. I'll just move this over there for you.

We just returned from AKL concierge - stayed there 4 nights. We received a (I know I'm spelling this wrong) figurine of the Baubao Tree .

glewis... wow thats great. My DD has the wooden giraffe in her room and asked me the other day if she would be getting a "friend" for it during our stay.

I told her if AKL was not giving them out anymore we would buy something ins the gift shop ~ they have lots of neat stuff.

Hi Anne ~ weird I just assumed all concierge guests received something... I wonder why some do, some don't? I guess there is no set policy ~ I don't think I deserve anything this next trip I booked a Canadian at Par rate that was criminal

THe only thing we got when we stayed at AKL concierge was the gift of water when you leave.....

Lori--that's what we got as well. I love the bag they put it in--I've used both of them to "wrap" a bottle of wine I was bringing to a party, and the recipients loved them as well

I just e-mailed concierge for a surprise for my dbf's biirthday. I asked if they could find some type of silverback gorilla merchandise and just charge it to my card. Does anyone remember seeing anything like that. We looked briefly while we were there in March but couldn't find anything. We ended up finding something at a store at Citywalk.
Any other ideas for a surprise gift for him??? He will be 32 but is absolutely fascinated with animals.

We stayed concierge Feb of this year and did not receive a carved animal.

We got a carved baobob(sp) tree. But we didn't get our water in the fancy net bag.

Can you buy these carved animals at AKL? Are they available anywhere else in WDW? We will be staying at the Poly in Nov. and DS loves giraffes. In fact he said the only souvenier he would like this time is a hand carved giraffe and has been saving for it since January.

Gee..I must be special! We stayed in a non-concee-erge room last Nov and recieved a carved giraffe.




And a card signed by all the characters. It was an Anniverrsary trip.

The gift shop at AKL has lots of carved animals in all different sizes... the giraffes are very nice

I also believe at the marketplace at Animal Kingdon Park you may find some..
