AKL Special Room Request

I will be staying at AKL Dec. 10th-14th. If I want to make special room request, do I call the front desk or do I need to fax them?? Also, which rooms & areas are the best location for close proximity to the elevators, pools, Boma & laundry areas (but that are not too noisy) that also have a good view of the savanah? Thanks any and all input!!

My husband and returned from a week's stay at the AKl this past weekend...LOVED IT - but that's a whole other story...

We stayed in room 4407...very close to the lobby and fairly close to the elevator to take you to the pool on the 1st floor. I thought our Savannah View was excellent...our room basically looked out onto the main savanna viewing area, but we had an unobstructed view to the right. We saw many animals during our stay. We also had a corner room and had a terrific view of the outdoor fire pit where storytelling took place at 7:30pm.

We faxed in our request 3 days prior to our arrival and received all of our requests with the exception of a king size bed. This worked out better because my sister, who was vacationing with us as well, had a king size bed, but only had a single sink in her room (she had a standard, parking lot view on the other side of the 4th floor). Also, she had a normal, all inclusive bathroom (quite large, I might add!), as opposed to having the double sinks outside of the shower and toilet. I definately appreciated having two sinks!
