I've stayed at AKL 10+ times. It's one of my favorite resorts!
I like their little fitness center and have had 2 massages and one body scrub there and enjoyed every minute!

The prices are less than at SSR Spa and GF Spa b/c there are fewer amenities at the Fitness Centers. They do have locker rooms, showers, sauna and steam room however. And if you are staying at AKL it is SO convenient

Let me add a bit about the actual experience.
When you enter the fitness center, you simply check in at the front desk. You will be led back or simply given a robe if you desire and a key to a locker. If you allow time, you can enjoy a sauna and/or steam bath or take a shower. When you're ready you simply sit on the bench outside the locker room and wait to be called by your therapist. It's always been really quiet when I've been - hardly anyone else there. There are only a handful of treatment rooms. My treatments have always been very good!

no free samples and no AP discount. The AP discount in my experience has only been at GF spa for one treatment per visit and I believe DVCers get discount at SSR Spa.

You're welcome and you will LOVE concierge at AKL. You will enjoy yourself immensely! You'll be wonderfully relaxed after walking back to the lounge/your room from your massage
Do not miss Jiko! I recommend requesting the Cooking Place (bar area where they prep first courses) it is a lot of fun and you can chat with the chefs/staff. Wonderful people there at Jiko

It is my pleasure! I go to WDW all the time and enjoy passing on tips to people who want them. Disney is a big place and if you are prepared it can make a BIG difference Plus, I am PASSIONATE about AKL. In fact, just writing about it makes me long to return!! I haven't been since last May...

Do you mean, can you use the AKL Fitness Center if you are not staying there? I assume that yes, you CAN, but it might not be very connvenient, depending on where you are staying. I don't think they would charge you a fee for use of the facilities so long as you have a treatment booked. Check out www.relaxedyet.com for the various spa and fitness center locations.
