AKL Smoking Question

Hi all,
We are travelling to AKL with my parents, and my Mom is a smoker. We're all staying in one non-smoking Savannah view room. Since Mom won't be able to smoke on the balcony, or in the room, where can she smoke? One would assume there are some other options, but where are they and how many places are there?
We're only there for 3 nights, but we need to find a path to smoker/non-smoker harmony!

There is a spot, outside, in the front of the lodge. It is actually in the walkway towards the busses ... just outside the gift shop area. There are benches there and ashtrays. I know there is another spot beside the front entrance to the lobby. Those are the only two places I have seen people smoking.

People smoked outside the Mara, by the pool. I don't know if it was a designated spot, but it definitely was a well-used area.
