AKL savannah vs. conierage HELP me decide!

Well, we finally decided that we will stay at AKL for our December trip instead of WL. Although I heard wonderful things about WL, especially during the Holidays, as an all out animal lover I can't pass up AKL

Anyway we decided it will either be a savannah view or conierge. I have some questions though, are all conierges savannah views?

What is the best savannah view?

In all honestly we can not afford the conierge at 'rack rates' so what are the chances of good AP rates or a general code coming out for that? We will be going in value season. What are some rates others have paid? Right now I don't think we could stay there unless we get 40% off the rack rates, what are the chances of that?

How fast to these fill up? We are going from Dec 11th-Dec. 15th. Should we book now & cancel later? I am more worried about the conierge filling up then the savannah views or is it the other way around?

Also is the conierge really worth the extra money? I know if we do stay there we WILL do the Sunrise Safari. It is a MUST!
What all does the conierge offer? (like the little things)

The 'breakfast' that is put out for conierge guest, is it enough for a light breakfast to get you through the morning?

How is the transportation to & from other resorts?

All that is enough for now!
Oh one more thing, to tell you the truth this will probably be our last Disney trip in a while (at least a couple of years) so I would like it really special.....but we do have to watch our pocket book too

Here are some pics of the hotel, the two rooms we stayed in (Concierge Room 5421) and Savannah Deluxe Room 5485.

They offer all kinds of things for breakfast - juice, tea, coffee, danish, bagels, muffins, fruits, cereals and milk.

Throughout the day there were all different things to eat, PB&J, finger sandwiches, chicken, shrimp, desserts, pretzels, nuts, chips, dips, etc. All the soda, juice, water you could drink. They give you sodas and waters to take to the parks or your room. At night, they have all kinds of wines and liquor out.

It is a very relaxing atmosphere. Loved it and spoiled my hubby. He says no other way will he stay in Disney but AKL and concierge.
