We are currently booked in a standard room in Jambo house for this August. but am now having second thoughts and am considering upgrading to a savannah view. The last time we stayed in a savannah room at AKL, my girls were too small to appreciate it, but now I know they'd enjoy it. When I called to ask about upgrading, there was very little difference between a savannah queen and a savannah bunk bed. However, the CM seemed to imply that the view itself is different?

We previously stayed in a savannah room on the Zebra trail, in the second "pod" of rooms away from the lobby. We had a great view, not blocked much by Arusha rock, and were conveniently close to the lobby.

But the CM told me that queen savannah rooms are "Arusha view" while bunk beds are just "savannah view". What does this mean? That they may face on the Sunset or Uzima savannahs rather than the (more desirable) Arusha one?

We just stayed at AKL and had a bunk bed Arusha view. It was an excellent view. We were down a ways around the horseshoe on the kudu trail so not what I describe as close to the lobby or pool.

Yea pretty much those rooms are scattered all over the resort and you could be anywhere.
