AKL Savannah view floor request?

We are staying DVC studio in Jambo at AKL in September, Savannah view room, does anyone have a suggestion for a floor request or should I just go for luck of the draw? Do any have any advantages over the others? We don't mind a bit of a longer walk or elevator ride if the view is better.

This is our first time at AKL and help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the DVC units in Jambo are only on the 4th and 5th floors so you could choose between one of those floors, which personally I would choose 4, don't quote me on that tho, I'm not 100% certain.

Well, I'm a DVC member who's stayed at AKL lots of times. It's even more limited than that-just one floor, no choice of floors. All the DVC units (except concierge) are on the 5th floor. Just so you're aware, there IS a free laundry for studio dwellers on the 5th floor-sometimes even the front desk hasn't been aware of it!

We are staying at Jambo for a few nights in July in a savannah view room. Stayed at hotel years ago (like 8 years maybe) and barely saw a giraffe for five minutes in our side of the courtyard room but have been assured the DVC rooms (studio this time) are in a good spot. Anyone comment on animal viewing? Are there balconies on the rooms? Are they all the same size room too? I have heard they are a little small but we don't care for this part of the trip.

Well, I'm a DVC member who's stayed at AKL lots of times. It's even more limited than that-just one floor, no choice of floors. All the DVC units (except concierge) are on the 5th floor. Just so you're aware, there IS a free laundry for studio dwellers on the 5th floor-sometimes even the front desk hasn't been aware of it!

Great tip, considering our airline just started charging for carry ons I have a feeling I may be doing some laundry on this trip for the first time ever.

There are balconies on all the rooms and they are all the same size except for value studios. The regular studios were converted from the AKL deluxe rooms, which were larger than the regular AKL rooms.

I've only stayed in Jambo once and we faced Kidani construction so we didn't see alot of animals. Should be better now. They try to feed the animals in different sections during the day so that they get around. The DVC rooms (except concierge) are located all over the 5th floor.

I have a similar question, but for Kidani. We are staying there May 5th and was wondering if there is a particular floor we should request.
