I was wondering what the price difference is between the Savannah view and other views at AKL. We visited AKL last week to see what it was like and really liked it. We didn't stay long though but it seemed like most of the rooms faced the area where the animals were, which I guess is the Savannah view?. I don't know if we can afford a Savannah view though and wonder if other rooms are a lot less expensive and what are they like? We have stayed at WL Woods view twice and want to try something else next time. Thanks

We stayed at the AKL for a week last year. We thought we would save $ by staying in the standard view room. We weren't in the room 2 hours and we went back and upgraded to the savannah view. Our view was the parking lot (which we expected) and we were right above the entryway to the lodge. On top of nothing to see, we could hear cars and buses pulling in and pulling out of the entryway. The savannah view was fantastic! You can sit on the balcony and watch the animals all day and night. I loved it! My husband even had to admit it was well worth the extra $ and his philosophy is "it's just a room". No question - savannah view!!

We are struggling with the choice of Savannah View or just going to a different resort. We wanted Std or Pool view, but no AP rate was available, so we have Savannah. However, we leave early and stay at the parks all day. I am not sure it would be worth the additional cost if we are not there much.
