AKL safari worth it??

Hi planning a trip in Dec, 6 nights @ PO, thinking of changing the last night to AKL conceirge to do the safari, since our plane doesnt leave till the afternoon. Any thoughts worth all that extra money?? Thank you.

Yes the Sunrise Safari is worth the money. In the morning there are many more animals out and the truck stops for you to take pictures. The breakfast is very good also.

HOWEVER, I have read that you need to stay at least two days at AKL to be able to do the safari.

Oh, it's absolutely worth it!!

The safari is definitely worth it and we'll be going it again in two weeks. The kids have not been on it so it will be a real treat for them. And this time, we are only staying at AKL the first night of our trip and had no problems getting reservations for it. So the theory of needing to stay 2 nights at AKL seems to be incorrect!

And by the way, the breakfast they serve at Tusker House for the safari guests is excellent. Many normal breakfast treats but a few interesting African delights. It is also beautifully displayed!

Less than two weeks to go...............woo-hoo!
