Hi! We're leaving for WDW in a couple of days, and have booked an AKL savannah view room. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which floor, or a particular room number I should request? Last time, I had a list for the WL and was able to get a room with a castle view just by asking for a couple of room numbers. I was hoping to be more prepared by now, but I've had a hard couple of weeks and haven't had any time to do my research!

    Thanks a bunch!!!

Did you book a deluxe or a standard? The deluxe rooms are on the higher floors. We had a very nice savannah view room on the 5th floor near the elevator that goes down to the pool. I'm sorry I can't help with room numbers.

We just got back Jan 15th from the AKL. I had requested fourth floor looking into the Arusha Savanna third building from the end on the Zebra trail. This was the view the Unofficial Guide book recommended. When I got down there that was not where the room assigner had put us, but the CM at checkin was wonderful. I told her I wanted to see zebras as well as giraffes and she said 'let me see what I can do'. We got a perfect room on the Kudo trail, fourth floor, third building from the end (right in the middle of the trail), looking into the Arusha savanna. (not too far from the elevators and perfect view of lots of animals--including zebras and giraffes). Note: due to not getting along with some of the cattle, zebras are only on the Arusha savanna and even though they say each savanna is 11 acres, the Arusha savanna looks much bigger than the other two. We walked around and looked at the other two savannas and the Arusha savanna (besides having the zebras) was by far the best. All three savannas have giraffes by the way.
