We prefer away from the lobby, especially at Jambo, since we find it quieter. But perhaps some reverse logic could work - request the room furtherest away from the lobby - you might be surprised how close to the lobby you get!!
Request to be “near the Timon or Rafiki elevators.” See post #6 in this thread. They’re the closest to the lobby. You could narrow it down to one or the other if you have a preference for near pool vs. bus stop, but requesting both increases your chances of success.
Thanks so much! I was thinking about that on this trip, asking to be near the Timon elevator, so that I can be near the bus stop and the zebra domes (lobby store). I've never asked to be near a certain elevator-maybe that'll help.
