akl room question

We are staying at the akl for the first time this July. Are the standard rooms on the lobby floor noisy? Do all the standard rooms have a balcony? Going with dh and dd8.

Do you mean standard "view" rooms? Ours were on the lobby level (3rd floor) and they were very quiet. Even though we faced the front of the Lodge we never heard any noise. We were in the Ostrich Trail area on the opposite side of the bus stop. There are some standard view rooms on the fifth floor that do not have the conventional balconies. They reminded me of small closets with port hole windows. We had them at first and asked to be moved which they did with no problem.
