AKL room location?

We have only 2 nights of our vacation that we can give for our 2nd stay at the AKL(Disney slow with the room codes found a resv. DVC that met our budget short story). I had to book each night seperate(1st night Deluxe pool view-2nd night Concierge) so i was wondering which floors have the deluxe pool view? I got the impression that if you book Concierge you got Deluxe pool view for smoking and if you wanted non-smoking(this is our choice) you usally ended up with a savanah view. Are there Deluxe pool view room that are there for non-concierge guest? Boy i sure didn't want to do it this way(wanted concierge for both nights)but it was only avaliable with AP rate for Sat unless we stayed Sun then i could have had all three nights.We're doing this mainly for the Sunrise Safari(got our spots already)so now i have to wake up even earlier and check in again to get our card to access the lounge, ohh well i'm just happy to be doing the safari

I believe the deluxe poolview rooms are on the 5th and 6th floor.

For your non-concierge night you will most likely be on the 5th floor... then the next day move to a concierge room (probably savanna view) on the 5th floor as well.

If you want to stay in your pool view room that should not be a problem.

Also, who knows they may put you in a savanna view room instead of a poolview when you check in.

Have fun on the sunrise safari... by th way, the deluxe rooms are practically identical to the standard rooms, they are slightly larger, located on the higher floors and have robes and a make up mirror.

Now you got me wonderingdid i recieve an upgrade last year at the AKL. We booked a savanah view and we were not on zebra trail and i ask if they had a room availble on that trail. They gave us a HA room on the 5th floor. Did i recieve an upgraded room? Was this room larger than the one i reserved? I'm asking because i had read here that the room were small and Me and DH didn't think so even with the larger bathroom cutting into the living space.

Hi, yes I am pretty sure all rooms on the 5th floor are deluxe.

You would hardly notice the size differnce compared to the standard rooms.... it is something like 50 square feet

The rooms are small at AKL, but no smaller than some of the other resorts like Beach Club... I recently stayed there in a concierge room so small you couldn't swing a cat... not that anyone would swing a cat
