Are there any that you actually see the animals on the savannah- and when is the best time to make the reservation for?

The only one that may have views of the savannah is Sanaa at Kidani village.

You can't see the animals from any of the restaurants. But you can see them after or before you eat.

I would recommend Boma. It does not have a view of the animals, but you can go look at them before or after your meal. We went to Boma a few years ago with both adults and kids and everyone loved it. It is an African buffet and the food is wonderful. So good we plan to eat there again when we go back in January.

I wish I had my pictures on this computer to show you but yes you can get very nice views of the animals from Sanaa the restaurant at Kidani Village!

We had a ressie for lunch right at opening and it was great, the restaurant was not crowded at all and we were given a great table by the windows. Since it was lunch time it was light out and very easy to see quite a few animals while we dined. The food was also wonderful along with the service!!

On the other hand, you may get "extra" wildlife, too. On my last visit, the manager approacjed me to say, "Oh, I see you have a little visitor for lunch." Turns out there was a narrow, but long, black snake in the gravel right outside my window. He told me he'd come over to tell me, so I wouldn't suddenly see it and be scared. Yes, I probably would have freaked out, but his approach was so relaxed about it that I survived.
