AKL Refrigerators?

I'm helping a friend plan a trip to AKL. She's going 10/5 - 10/12. Do they have refrigerators in the rooms or do you have to request one and pay the $10 / day? Thanks!

We just got back. They are not in all the rooms yet. Just ask at checkin and it will be brought right up. Our was there before our luggage. We actually had two (hskpg mixup) and kept 'em both (stacked)... More room for my nonfat milk (which is the only way to go w/Oreos for bkfst!).

There was no charge.

you might have to ask them after check in if they are really busy (at least i did) but they will bring one right up to you, no charge to boot.

Oreos for breakfast--EEEKK!! LOL!

It's nice that they are putting the refrigerators in all of the moderate and deluxe resorts now for no charge.

We stayed at AKL during hurricane Frances. Our room had a refrigerator. It wouldn't get cold. Then, I found a pair of someones socks had fallen behind it and they were blocking the airflow. After I removed the socks, it worked fine.
