I hope this isn't a stupid question but does AKL have a food court like CBR and ASM and can you purchase refillable mugs?

Hi,

The AKL has a food court called Mara and yes they do have refillable mugs.

They have two types of refillable mugs - the regular large bottom size and the travel type that will fit in you car's cup holder.

Awesome resort! We just returned. Refillable mugs and Mara the food court has GOOD Food for food court. Its right by the pool.

Hello dave&maria- We'll be arriving on your departure day, the only problem with the food court is it is not centrally located. The resort is like a giant horseshoe. Mara food court is on the right side (Zebra Trail ) by the pool, if you have a room towards the end on the Kudu trail it is quite a walk to Mara's. Many times we opted to get drinks from the vending machines instead of walking to Mara's for a free refill. All things considered, I'd try to stay on the Zebra trail.

Mark and Sandra, we are staying in a savannah room, so which rooms would we be best requesting if we want to be near the food court? We stayed at CBR 2yrs ago and loved the resort but found the walk at night to be a little to far to refill our mugs.

Zebra Trail will put you on the correct side for the Mara and the pool. If you request Arushua Rock view, you will be spared having a "people pen" in your view. (Although we had one in our view and it didn't bother us one little bit!) I like the little side halls off the main horseshoe, because I think they have less foot traffic passing by and therefore are quieter. But that is my personal prefernce. Enjoy!
