AKL question

Hello everyone,
I'm off to WDW in January and staying at AKL and I'm so excited!! We're staying in a Savannah view room and I was just wondering which Savannah is the best to see the most animals? We'd like to request which Savannah we look over so I was just wondering what everyone else thinks.

We like the Arusha savanna the best, it's the one in the center, off the lobby.

Second choice would be the Uzima.

Our least favorite by far is the Sunset savanna.

I just have to say, we had a great stay on the Sunset. We had a watering hole right outside our room and had all kinds of animals there all the time. Perhaps different one's at different times, but there were always animals to be seen. Not to mention we had a beautiful view of the savanna. I guess it depends what room area of each savanna that you might get.
W'ell be there next month and I'm not going to request a thing. I'll just take my chance and hope that we get a good room. I think probably that most rooms are good, there probably aren't really any "bad" rooms. It just might be the week you are there or the time of day you are at your room looking for the animals. One day we came back to our room, mid afternoon and there were 20 some animals right outside our room. It was incredible! I had stressed over this the 1st time we stayed at AKL and found there was really no reason to. I say just go and let it to chance ! You'll love this resort !

I'm doing this now. Stressing over whether or not the room I get is going to have a good view. The view is the main reason we choose AKL so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

hmm... ok thanks for your help! I'm sure we'll be able to see plenty of animals and if needs be we can go to the arusha rock or the other viewing areas!

I was so darned worried if our "view' would be the perfect one. We got there, they upgraded us to a deluxe savanna view, and by gosh it was the "perfect" view! You'll see all different posts on here as to what savanna's each person thinks is the best, and what you end up realizing is that all the savanna views are mentioned. So it looks as if they are all good! But then there are certain rooms in each savanna. Oh no ! Quite frankly it can become very overwhelming ! Especially if you're a freak like me! I stress over everything! The view I would be worried about is the dreaded "parking lot" view. I just couldn't stay at AKL without a savanna view room. However, that's me. But really, I'm sure as long as you paid for a savanna view room, you'll love the view, especially if it's your 1st time at this resort and you have nothing else to compare it to! Have a great time!
