AKL Question need help

Its almost that time. I have nine days till we are staying in the AKL we are so excited. I need your help though. My fiancee and I are from South Dakota so we really dont see too many animals besides pheasants and we love animals. What rooms have the best view of the animals. I know you can request what kind of room you would like to stay in three days prior to your reservation so I need some ideas.

If you want to see the animals, request a savannah view. You will see animals from there, regardless of where your room is. You will get a sheet with some different animals pictured when you check in so you can figure out what animals you are seeing.

We stayed on the 3rd floor when we were there and had pretty good views of the animals. Some folks prefer the 4th floor, but that is a bit too far from the action in our opinion. In fact my DW insists that we get a 2nd floor room next time, as she believes that will be the best viewing. There are various viewng platforms with binoculars in several locations on the second floor. Also, a number of folks seem to prefer the Arusha savannah in the middle of the complex, as that has zebras and wildebeest, tho we have enjoyed both the sunset savannah and the other one on the east side (forgetting the name but we were there for a whole week and loved it, especially the Bongos and other gazelles).

Before we checked into the AKL, the kids and I walked every trail looking at the savannah views from each side of both wings (while DH took at LONG nap in the car!). After viewing them all, our universal preference was for (and this is was I faxed in):

Zebra Trail, Arusha Savannah View, bunkbeds, NS, with a room number of X503 or better. I asked for 3rd floor as a first preference, and 4th as the second.

If you look at a resort map, you'll see this puts you facing the "interior" savannah, and into the second "building". We received 4th floor, which was wonderful, although we'd like to try 3rd as well. We had a wonderful view of zebras, giraffes, bongos as well as other animals, but were far enough out that we weren't watching people. We were right by the "second" elevator--and on the side of Mara and the pool. We thought this was the most perfect location in AKL.
