Just booked a Winter Dreammaker package for my family (me, DH, 1 yo and 2.5 yo) at AKL Standard for Dec 21-24. Got a good rate through Expedia for one room. My question is whether it is worth it to book a second room for the babies to sleep/nap in -- can book for $119 a night. Can we get adjoining rooms? Is a standard room at AKL roomy enough for us plus 2 cribs? Can we slide one crib (noisy toddler!) in the closet at night?
Is the pool warm enogh to swim around Christmas?
Any tips?

AKL is awesome - you will love it! I was just there with my 5 yr old and 1 yr old and the room comes with a pack and play (I call it a playpen). There was room on the side of the entertainment center for that to fit but on the other side is the table and chairs. We had a long hallway but I can't see putting another similiarly sized object there cause it would block the whole hallway...and closet isn't that deep and has the ironing board and luggage stand in it. There is room in front of the sinks but then you'd be blocked from the sinks and probably the bathroom.

I'd suggest, perhaps, if you're keeping it to one room...that maybe a room with just a king sized bed would give you more space for the cribs/playpens? Or perhaps the older child could sleep on a bottom part of the bunk bed if it had rails. Of course the extra room would be great! I would think you could get connecting rooms but I'm not sure they will guarantee that you will. Then you'd have to split up at night (one parent/child per room). Perhaps someone else knows more about that.

Have a great trip!

The standard rooms are not large enough for 2 pack and plays. We were there last month and used one next to the entertainment center. We could have put it in front of the sinks too. There are two sinks and I don't think it would have blocked them entirely, but we also got a refrigerator and it had to go under the sink. We had connecting rooms which were guaranteed for the two teenagers. Our room also had bunk beds, so if you had rails your older child could sleep in the bottom bunk. Having two rooms did make it nice.
