AKL public viewing areas

I've visited AKL a few times, but I can't seem to locate any of the animal viewing areas other than the one close to the lobby with the fire pit. I've heard there are other areas? Where?

There is one near the pool. Take the elevator that goes to Boma and Jiko to the first floor (this is where Boma and Jiko are). When you get off the elevator, go out the doors to the pool area. Now follow the perimeter to the left and when you get to the edge of the building, you will see a watering hole with flamingos and other boards. If you then do down towards the left, there is a savannah viewing area.


There is also a viewing area off of the lobby. When you enter the lobby, go across the lobby towards the glass windows. Before you go down the stairs, look to the left and you will see a sitting area. Walk into the sitting area and there will be a balcony that you can see some of the animals from.

When you say the viewing area close to the lobby, are you talking about the second one that I mentioned above?

If you are, then walk straight across the lobby and go down the stairs (where the large window wall is). When you get down the stairs, go out the door and you will be in a large viewing area.
