AKL pool veiw?????

I was wondering if we get pool veiw, is there a room that you could be on your balcony and would also beable to veiw the animals> I have one DD who wants to be by the pool, the other DD wants to veiw the animals. Any suggestions for best room location for both? Any info on room location would be very helpful....... thanks ,,,,corvair amy

You might be able to see some animals if you had a pool view on the Giraffe Trail?

Hi corvair,

We stayed at the AKL twice in 2001 both times in pool view rooms. On our first stay in May of 2001 we were on the Giraffe Trail and could see the animals that are out on the Uzima Overlook from our room. So if you book a pool view request the Giraffe Trail and hope for the best. There are rooms on the Giraffe Trail that you cannot see the overlook from so it will be a completely luck of the draw thing.

On our trip in Sept of 2001 we were on the Zebra Trail. Great view of the pool but no animals.

You could also book a savanna view and request the Zebra Trail but again it would just be a request and luck of the draw.

Another thing you can do is ask if you can upgrade to savannah view at check in. I was able to do so for only $10 per night over pool view! Don't count on it, but it could happen if savannah view rooms aren't all occupied .
