I posted this on the CB as well, but we stayed at AKL last week and I just wanted to share some pictures I took.

I love this resort and I'd have to rank it as my 2nd fav just under WL. So... enjoy...

Oggie, it looks like you just took our vacation. We're staying at BCV for 5 nights then AKL for two nights! I've enjoyed your photos of AKL & BC and emailed the link to my friend who's coming with us. You take great photos!

If you are staying concierge - try to book the sunrise safari - it takes you through AK before guests arrive. The sunset safari is great too - pricey $150 per person - but includes a great meal at Jiko afterwards (this is for concierge guests 16 and older)

Jiko is a wonderful restaurant - if you have kiddies - Boma is an excellent buffet that they might enjoy more.

just wander around this resort - get lost (it's easy!) it's a breathtaking place IMO.

bring plenty of film too!
