AKL or WL??? still cant decide

we are going in May 2013 for a college grad trip and our 30th anniversary..


we just cant decide which of these 2 to stay at this time..... We have stayed at WL last time 5 yrs ago. loved it but always open to new experiences. We are also worried about reno's at WL.

Our main issue w/ AKL is transpo to downtowm Disney. We have never stayed at AKL but have visited for meals. we arent sure if we are renting a car yet. Transpo to parks is somewhat a concern and we have a resort signature dinner every night for 6 nights.

We thought with the boat at WL the transpo options were a bit better to get around.
Our DD grads with a wildlife boilogy/natural resource degree so i am thinking thats AKL would theme in well with this trip. Prob do pool view so as not to get stuck with bad view....

pros??? cons????

also we are 4 adults.... Myself,DW,DD21 at that time and DD college roomate 21....

these resorts are at the top of our budget this time. so upgrades wont be an option. We will do std park tix and deluxe dining...

I've not stayed at either, but it looks like AKL is perfect for you! If the transportation to DTD is your main issue, take comfort in knowing that's an issue for every resort! And at least AKL will have dedicated busses to it, vs. sharing with other resorts.

We've stayed at both and they are both awesome resorts. We love the WL as we like being close to MK as well as have the boat for alternate transportation, but we didn't think the bus transportation at AKL was as bad as some make it out to be. It does take a little longer to get around since AKL is kind of out away from everything, but the buses only service AKL and Kidani, so there's no sharing with any other resort. Good luck deciding, but I don't think you can go wrong with either one as they are both great resorts.

If it was up to me I would say AKL with a rented car.
