AKL or WL in December?

Hi all! I'm new here Just wanted opinions on Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge. We will be at Disney in December and I'm having a hard time deciding on which hotel! We would be staying at a woods view for WL or a standard view at AK. Thanks!!

They are both beautiful & I've stayed at both during that time of year. WL is closer to MK if that is where you spend the most time. It really boils down to which theme you prefer. AKL is my favorite and I like the food court there better than WL.

Both are stunning at Christmas... WL is a bit more traditional/ country Christmas. And it has great boat service to MK. However, we are not fond of the CS option there. AK has gorgeous pools, animals to see, and 2 of the best restaurants on propert plus a good CS. You'll love both! We did WL at Christmas but we are AKL owners.

We love both, but the AKL decorations are stunning. How often do you get to celebrate the season with giraffes?

Welcome to the Dis

We've stayed at both and while AKL is a great resort, our favorite between the two is the WL, especially during the holidays. The WL is gorgeous any time of year, but it's amazing all decorated at Christmas time . The lobby is beautiful with the huge fireplace surrounded by rocking chairs, making it a cozy atmosphere for relaxing and taking in the surroundings . We love taking the boat to MK as well as to the CR. You really can't go wrong with either resort as they are both great, but my choice would be the WL for December .

I've stayed at AKL, but not WL, but I'll share my thoughts on the subject. We have visited WL for dinner several times and I think it is a beautiful resort.

They are both gorgeous at xmas.

WL has the edge as far as location goes if you plan to go to the MK often.

AKL has an edge since its so unique -- you can sit on the many overlooks and look at African animals out on the savanna. I also prefer the pool there.

I think they are both nice -- you can't go wrong here...
