AKL or WL for someone won't ride elevators?

Ok we have a family member that will not ride an elevator due to a bad experience. We are wanting to stay at WL or even AKL. Are the stairs easily accesible? Can you request a low floor room?

AT WL there are rooms on the ground floor. At AKL the lobby is on the 3rd floor, so you can request rooms on the 3rd floor. There are rooms on the 1st floor accessable by stairs. You can do either hotel without an elevator...by using the stairs.

Thanks, my MIL won't do more than about 3 floors so hopefully we can get a lower floor without too much problems.

There are MANY more ground level -Lobby level-rooms at AKL

Yes, you can definitely request a low floor room . Requests are just that.....requests.....and are not guaranteed, but Disney will do everything they can to accommodate them when possible . I would also explain the situation and tell them why you are requesting a low floor room .

There are plenty of rooms that don't require the use of an elevator or stairs at both resorts
