AKL or WL concierge??? Which is better?

Trying to figure out which is the better , AKL or WL concierge? We can only stay concierge at one and plan on 'slumming' at the other. If you had the choice to stay concierge at one or the other, which one and why? This will be for my birthday and wedding/honeymoon!!! TIA!!!

I haven't stayed at either one but I have heard really good things about AKL concierge and their lounge (I have seen pics) is gorgeous. I don't think WL has a lounge per say, but I may be wrong on that.

With that said, I would probably do WL basic and go crazy at the parks for a few days since they are so close to WL. Then I would move over to AKL, get a Savannah room with concierge service and relax relax and relax!!! AKL grounds are supposed to be really nice and since the resort is away from the parks, I would use this one for when you are going to be at the resort more.
Either way pick the concierge service when you will utilize it best, if you rather come off your wedding/honeymoon with relaxation and better service, pick concierge first.

Check the prices though, I think concierge at AKL is more expensive. The rates I checked were higher than the Poly concierge which is why I went with Poly. We will be trying AKL next though.

AKL.

We did both during our honeymoon and I have to say the AKL concierge CM's are amazing.

also - AKL concierge is the only concierge that actually offers somethign "extra" to concierge guests - in the form of the sunset or sunrise safaris. (yes they are extra costs - but only AKL concierge guests can do these safaris) both are excellent and well worth the money.

WL is actually in the process of building a new concierge lounge. I'm sure that will be an improvement, but I don't think that it would place it above the AKL. I would select concierge level there and "slum" in a standard room at the WL. Who knows, maybe you can upgrade at check-in for a small additional charge. There have been posts over the years where DIS'ers have reported being able to upgrade to WL concierge for around $50 more per night. I haven't seen any lately, so perhaps they are filling up on regular bookings now. Worth a try though, if it's in your budget.

For your honeymoon, I have another vote for AKL concierge (though I have also tried WL concierge and absolutely loved it). AKL is very romantic, though, and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying concierge service. Eating a very nice dinner at Jiko or Boma would add to the ambience and the concierge deluxe savannah views are spectacular (at least ours was). I think you'll love it
