AKL Luggage Drop

Hey

We are staying our first night off site at the Melia in Celebration due to not getting in till around 10pm. Our plan the following morning is to get up early, Uber over to AKL and drop our bags before heading on the first bus to MK for Rope Drop.

Assuming I don't need to go to check in at AKL, just give my bags to the bell hop and say we'll be back later? I'll also have some things that need refrigerating, I thought about putting them in a Trader Joes cooler bag, so they can just put the whole thing in the fridge, or take the items out of it and put them in. Is that a good solution?

I think you have everything laid out exactly right. The Bell folks at AKL will take good care of you, including keeping your stuff cold that needs it. We've done similar bag drops at AKL before (not as early as you, but close!). Something to consider is the online check-in. If it works as it should, you will get a text/email later in the day when your room is ready - then you can go right to the room when you return to AKL and call Bell to have them deliver all your stuff - unless you prefer to pick it up yourself and take it to the room. Have fun! And maybe plan to sleep in the following morning!!

Keep an eye on park hours. It's not uncommon for Magic Kingdom to flip to an 8am opening and then everything gets backed up an hour.

Hello - just to confirm, the bell hops will put refridgerated items in a fridge if you drop them off early? We have a Topolino's res @ 11:00, but were going to drop by to hand off luggage at 10:00. We will also have some items that will be in a small cooler. Just want to make sure I have it correct - thanks!!!

Yes, Bell Services will store cold items for you - they just won't transport them to another resort. If you have items separated and marked for cold storage, they will handle that for you until you return, or until you call from your room for delivery (should you choose to do that). If you call them to have your items delivered, I'd just remind them you have cold items, too.
