AKL Lodge busses stop at Pop century?

I was reading a review on trip advisor about this property. The poster said the busses from AKL stop at the Pop Century resort now and take a very long time to get to the resorts. Anyone know anything about this? I wasn't worried booking the AKL lodge because supposedly the busses only went to this resort. If this is the case , it looks like long bus times to the parks.

POP has it's own buses. I believe you may be thinking of Magical Express busses. They drop off and pick up at both resorts to and from the MCO airport.

There are no resort to resort buses at all.
I think the PP is correct, they must have been talking about the Magical Express buses from the airport to the resort. They make several stops each.

I hope you guys are right. The trip advisor review specifically said the bus stopped at pop century on the way to the parks and that is was long bus rides.

I stayed at the AKL for 10 nights this past December and the only time the bus stopped at POP was the Magical Express from the airport. Buses to the AKL from the other parks only stop back at the AKL.

Take whatever you read on Trip Advisor with a grain of salt. People can post any kind of nonsense there; it's not like there's any sort of fact checking.

Here on the DIS, if someone posts misinformation, there are plenty of people around to correct it. You can trust the info you get here. Trip Advisor is unreliable, at best.

How ironic as I JUST read that same review last night and was thinking he was on crack based on what I read here. Plus he was rude - I think he referred to stopping at the "tacky POP", etc..

I think he just wanted to whine and mixed up some facts
I will find out in just a few days.......

We got back a month ago and AKL has it's own busses. POP is no where near AKL.

The Dis is the place to gain Disney knowledge. My AAA agent was always amazed at how much I knew about Disney and she's considered a "Disney expert!" I told her to join the Dis and gave her the link. I just paid off my trip this past Monday and she told me she is now a proud member of the Dis community!

The Magical Express bus stops at Pop and then AKL. The buses from the resorts to the parks go directly from AKL to the park and back, the Pop buses go directly to the park and back. We have stayed at both and love the fact that neither one shares buses with any other resorts!

I have stayed at AKL 3 times and they do not share buses; but each time my ME bus stopped at POP first. I really do think this is what you were reading about.

Thanks so much for your help. I guess I will learn that you are the experts. You have eased my mind with my decision to stay at AKL in April. I haven't stayed on property in 6 years and so many things have changed.

Don't let concerns about the buses at AKL stop you from staying there. My wife and I stayed there in January and the buses were very efficient. They went straight to the parks (or DTD) and I found their travel times to be only a few (less than 5) more minutes longer than some other resorts.

While you won't have the experience of walking to the MK from the Contemporary, frankly (and this may be blasphemy to monorail resort fans), it is faster to get to EPCOT from AKL than from any of the monorail resorts because monorails must be changed at the TTC.
