Thankfully, I was directed to this thread by Johnsonet who was helping me with a question that I PM'd her with. I actually had come across it before, but was intimidated by its length! :scared1: I decided to jump in around post # 175 and now I'm up to speed. We have a December trip planned to AKL, and this thread is adding to the excitement. :santa: I'm gonna stay tuned! popcorn::
Wow! So did you really read like 2800 posts? Must have taken you days!!!!

This thread is very very good for making oyu uber excited for an AKL stay!! :)

...:welcome:..feel free to ask any questions here - we are a crazy bunch (well, I am, anyhoo!) and we love to share ideas, trippies, photos, AND zebra domes on Fridays....;) [...however, YOU must bring this Friday's batch! :teeth: ]

Thank you for the welcome! Johnsonet has been very helpful, but I think I'll post my question to everyone here, as well. We are thrilled to be returning to AKL in December for our 2nd stay. :woohoo: I can't believe it, but it bumped WL to 2nd place, and now holds the title of our favorite lodge. Last time we stayed in a "Pool View" room on Zebra Trail. We LOVED Zebra Trail b/c as we walked down the hallway, we could see animals out the windows on one side and the pool on the other. :wizard: Our view from our room (#4428) wasn't super. We could see the pool, but the main view was of an empty wading pool filled with leaves. We were still happy, but this time I am hoping for a better pool view. I've lurked on several photos threads and have seen some gorgeous ones. I'm not certain, but it seems as if the better views are on Giraffe Trail. Does any have any favorite room/trail recommendations? I'm not going to request a specific room, but a trail with a section of numbers. Any photos of your room view would be great, too! P.S. What's this about having to bring Z.D. on Friday? ;)

Hi JAMBO bunch!

Hope everyone had a great weekend, I am still thawing out from our overnight ACS RELAY for life overnight walk/camp out on Sat!!
Now i have abt 4 days to recuperate (SP)? from sore bones and feet for WDW! yay!

Of course this occasion could only happen here on this thread!:goodvibes

Hooray for your 5K!

...to make it worse, we gave him my accumulated Disney Rewards points - 284, to be exact!

What a good and generous mom! Some Disney magic has to come your way as a reward!

...yeah, well, it's raining cats-and-dogs there (gee, I hope he doesn't step in a 'poodle'...:rotfl: ) so he hasn't had a chance to really enjoy the parks, or even the great SAB pool area....:confused3

...it's an 'unoffical ritual' here, where usually someone posts a pic of Zebra Domes on Fridays to 'share' with our AKL family....:thumbsup2

Somehow I never picked up on that :duck:

Our local news just reported that the Walt Disney Company has purchased 15 acres of land at the National Harbor in the DC area. They are planning to build a 500 room hotel.

Oh my... I meant I jumped in at PAGE 175, not Post 175. :lmao: I fancy myself a reader, but that would be a bit excessive. With that being said, watch me end up doing it anyway. I think I'm that obsessed.

Hi Jamborinos - just checking in! :wave2: Between work and the kids' baseball schedules I'll never get caught up!

Well in case you need more reading material, the original Jambo thread has some fantastic stories: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=752192 And it offers another 711 pages! :goodvibes I know that I once tried to do an index of the old thread, but I am not sure where it is, will try to find it...

I found it: http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21825897&postcount=10064 its only the first 210 pages of the 711 though!
