I'm lucky in that my DH always wants to go too. However, he's the CFO of the family, so he knows when we can and when we can't go. So, when he says, lets go, I just about knock him over getting to the phone or computer to book.

Jambo everybody. I'm down to 36 days. Sorry I just had to remind myself that my trip is coming soon - I really want it to be sooner. I could use some of the Disney magic right now.

I found $94RT airfare today...I count pass up that kind of deal.

Although I'm going in 19 days now. I am a little bummed. I called first thing this morning to book a room and AKV is all booked up


However, they were able to find 2 nights for me at VWL. One night on points and the other a cash ressie. I'm fine with that, I've never stayed at Wilderness Lodge and i'm excited to try something new.

I've never had to do half points/half cash before, do I have to change rooms both nights?

Hey guys, wow, I've been off the Boards for a few days. Ate at Jiko's the other night, and we had a famous person eating in the Wine Room while we were there. Nelly Furtado. Pretty neat. I wouldn't have known her if I tripped over her, but I looked up her website while we were sitting there, and, yep, that was her.

We went over on Tuesday for Castle Lighting, and it is more glorious than last year. Anyone want to see pics? If so, let me know, and I will upload them. But you will have to wait.

Today is my ****th birthday , and I am being dragged to the Mall for a shopping spree and then to The Flying Fish for a celebratory dinner with Phil and Ben. Yay!

Wilderness Lodge is very nice this time of year. Wait till you see the Christmas decorations there. It's beautiful. I will say no to having to change rooms, even if you are splitting DVC points and cash. Doesn't make any sense that they would move you unless you were getting two kinds of rooms (i.e., a studio versus something that is only offered at the Villas).

We love WL - especially if its already decorated for Christmas. Hopefully they won't have to move you. GREAT airfare rate!

I just got off the phone with my DD. It looks very good (in my opinion) for this job at The Princeton Review. The position is down to Kathrin and one other writer. This morning she had sessions with 3 of the 4 people who wanted to meet with her. They were all very complimentary and told her that her writing style was exemplary that and her background in higher education marketing was something they hadn't expected to see come across their desks. In fact, they had not adequately (again, my opinion) checked into her work at Royall & Co. or they would have known she was doing this very thing for over three years before moving to Boston! After she got into the conversation with the head of internet marketing he realized what she really knew. He was blown away! He told her that she could walk into the position right now and take over half of his work without any training. And that is exactly what they were looking for.

The one person who she really needed to meet with was called away to a board meeting late last night and could not be there in time for the 10:00 appointment they had set. So, they asked if she was willing to do a short telephone interview with the "potential boss" if they felt it was something they needed to have on file.

I don't want to get my hopes up (and neither does she) but it certainly sounded like they are very taken with her. They also promised to let her know within 2 business days.... which means by tomorrow.

Keep sending that PD, please!

I've seen pics on the Dis of WL at Christmas time & it looked very magical ---just beautiful!

Not to be blasphemous in the AKL thread...but WL is my FAVORITE resort at Christmas time. I just love the decorations. AKL is a VERY close second, though.
