Yep, that's what happened in our neighborhood when we opened the door. My neighbor just sent this to me.

So, do you just stand at the door and hand out candy continously?

Is it a Halloween assembly line? :rotfl2:

Yep, I am speaking from experience. In fact, it just happened last week. Between Halloween and Christmas, there are a lot of tourists who come through the town to see the decorations. Both holidays are huge in this town, and there are a lot of former Imagineers who still live here. So, you can just imagine what the decorations look like. So, this explains why I, and a lot of my neighbors, am on videotape this time of year.

And, yes, I did everything by the book for the turkey. I just did it again, and it worked. I had two http's in there, and that was what it was. Thanks!

That is too funny about all the tourists! Though, I will FULLY admit I want to see Celebration veryyyyy much. I studied the area while in college (my degree is in City Planning) and found it facniating. Now that I've become a WDW freak, it's even more facinating! Maybe someday I'll be at the end of your driveway waving at you. ;)

It is a great feeling!!! I'm down to 45 days!!! We made our paper chain last night, and I will do our calendar today. I think my DS is fine with the chain, but Mom wants a calendar too! :cool1:

Yea!!!! Sooooo close!

....uhhhhhh, ya have to OPEN THE DOOR when the doorbell rings.........:teeth:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I almost spit my coffee on my computer screen from this one...

HOLY COW! You'd have to be handing out $100 bills for me to stand in that kind of line! (or Snickers bars...;))

You should take out your camera and snap some pictures of them!

I love this idea!!! :rotfl:

And, I have to say...

LOOK AT MY TICKER!

FOUR DAYS!

It's finally my turn! :rotfl:

Oh boy, and it's cooling off nicely here! We were over to Epcot yesterday and, although the sun was a bit hot, the shade was great, and there was a nice breeze. You'll be here for my birthday! Wilderness Lodge is so beautiful once it is a bit cooler out.

We put the giant bucket out, and just tell people to help themselves. It seems like an assembly line! Isn't that a truly extraordinary picture? If didn't witness this phenomenon for yourself, you wouldn't believe it. I was awestruck the first year we moved here. I had never seen anything like it.

Actually, this is the line to vote this morning! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :scared1:

Never knew there was 25 limit on "smilies".....! LOL I had 31, had to scale back! lol

Bensmom That pic is amazing! WOW! Did you have your house decked out , or does everyone know you give out the best candy?! lol

OMG...6:15am....you are my hero:) I could only dream about being out of the house at that time, lol
So the lines were that crazy, at that time?! WOW!

Oh, yes, house was decked out. Ghosts, goblins, pirate skeletons, fog machines, lights. I wish I had pics of mine and some of the neighbors' houses. As I said, some of the people in this town are so talented. We have one guy, who is a former Imagineer for Disney, he chose to remain here after everyone left for California when they relocated, and it's truly amazing what he does to his house. If I come across some pics of some of the houses in town, I will post them.

I will mention that if anyone is down to WDW next year, Celebration is worth a little drive, just to take a look around at Halloween and at Christmas as well. People get extremely competitive and creative.

Our neighbor, as I said, who had the party, was the chief designer for Hard Rock Myrtle Beach, so he is very creative when it comes to decorations (the wife is an interior designer to boot, so you can imagine...).

Oh, you know what else we did Halloween night? We got in the car after the party and went over to Fort Wilderness. There are some great displays in there as well set up by all the campers.

 That's good to know! :thumbsup2 What kind of "error" message did you get?

"You have exceeded the 25 character limit.....you will be kicked off the DIS if you dont adjust immediately.....no one needs that many smilies...use words for your emotions lady!! "

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: That is TOO funny!

That's pretty close to what the line at my polling place looked like at 6:15 this morning!!! :rotfl:

I hate to be a jerk, but where were all these people in past Presidential elections? I have been voting since I was 18, faithfully. Jeez, Louise! I mean, it's a good thing, but jeez.

No wonder!! These kids probably thought they were getting the King Size Reeses !!!
It really must be something to see! I can only imagine! Or they really thought Obama was at your house! LOL

I have heard that Ft Wilderness is something to see, and at Christmas:santa:
