yes! I made one of those "rotating" tickers for the July and Sept 2009 trips! Not sure if I want to replace my other 2 tickers with it or not, so for now it's just sitting there almost out sight, waiting!

I was so tickled with DD22 this morning. She woke up three times during the night because she was so excited to be voting "in person" this morning. (She had to vote with an absentee ballot for the last presidential election because she was in college.) My dyed-in-the-wool nightowl who htaes moenings gladly hopped out of bed at 7:00 to go vote with me so that she could be to work by 9:30. As it turned out, we only had about a 20 minute wait!
So I did what any normal Mom would do... I took her to breakfast before work and she picked up the tab!
So, do you just stand at the door and hand out candy continously?
Is it a Halloween assembly line?

It's finally my turn!
I usually am picking up the tab, but she has felt very generous the past two times we have gone out together. Might have something to do with seeing her bank balance climbing while her friends are barely scraping by.
We don't charge her rent and there is always food here. We decided when we invited her to come home after college graduation that we had to lay some ground rules so that we could all be content. We want her to have a bank balance that can support her life as an actor so this seemed a good way to go about it. She has her own benefits from her work and puts 95% (I am not kidding here) of her salary into savings every paycheck. She helps around the house and cooks most meals and helps with the grocery shopping, occasionally picking things up that we need.
It has been a very nice arrangement so far. I will let you all know if we feel this way after another few months!
