AKL Laundry Room?

What are the hours? Is it pretty big? I've never done laundry at WDW before, do they get busy? I'm planning on doing 2 or 3 loads on a Saturday afternoon. Can you do all your loads at once, just like at a laundromat (if there's room obviously)? I'll bring along our own detergent and dryer sheets, but in case I forget, how much does that stuff cost? Any other AKL laundry tips, I'd appreciate it!

There are about 6 washers and 6 dryers. It does get busy, especially since it's small. I can't remember how much the detergent was because I brought my own, but remember looking at it and thinking it was expensive.

My SO took our laundry very early on a Thursday morning (don't know what time they open) and he was the only one there. So, I'd say the best time to do laundry is very early or very late.

You gain access to the laundry room with your room key - so you can do laundry at any hour. Washers are $2 and dryers are also $2 - but for only about 20 minutes of drying time. I do one load in the washer, then split that between two dryers.

Hi was at AKL last Nov and funny enough there were quite a few of us doing laundry on election night. It was pretty busy so you may want to do it early as it was like people were winding down for the night and doing laundry as little ones slept! I found it very clean and well kept. The bonus is it's right beside the pool area so you can swim while you do the laundry.

the cost for the powdered detergent and fabric softeners was $2.00 each out of the machines in the laundry.
By the way, I have never been able to get my clothes dry on one round in the dryers: always it has been two. so be prepared with an additional $2.00
by the way, each laundry room has a machine that dispenses quarters.
