AKL - King Bed

so usually we travel with more than just 2 of us, but this time (in less than 3 weeks) its just the two of us for a much needed get-away with a split stay, AKL (3 nights), AKL Villa Studio (4 nights) and ASM (2 nights). I know the Studio has a queen bed (which is fine) but I would really like a King bed at the Lodge, do I request it when I do my pre-checkin?

It is a request, and not guaranteed. However, I actually have a funny story about this same topic! My DH and I checked into the AKL for a kid-less trip and they weren't able to grant our request for a king bed. I was disappointed but I knew there was a chance we wouldn't get it. The CM who was checking us in heard DH and I talking about how we wished we could have had a king and excused himself to the back room. A few minutes later he came out and told us he upgraded us to a one bedroom villa with a king! It was one of the best upgrades we ever got at WDW! Very magical!!!
