AKL Kids club/Babysitting

We are traveling to Disney in August and staying at Kidani Village. DH and I were thinking of maybe a nice dinner in Epcot without the kids. I thought I remember hearing there was a kids club where you could drop your kids off for a few hours at Jambo? Is there such a thing, and if there is does anyone know where I can get more info on it? Specifically what ages they accept, how late they are open, and the cost.

Simba's clubhouse. I think the child care clubs now cost $11.00/hour per child. You can make reservations in advance. Kids must be 4 and must be potty-trained. I don't know about Simba's specifically, but I think most of the clubs close at midnight, or if later, not much later.

I just used Simba's Clubhouse. It opens at 4 or 4:30 & is open until midnight. Keep in mind that you don't have to use the childcare center for the resort you are staying at. For example, if you were having dinner at Ohana's at the Poly it might be easier to use the Neverland Club at the Poly. You mentioned dinner at Epcot. The Sandcastle Club at the Yacht & BC would be close. The Swan & Dolphin also have a kid's club. DVC members get a discount at WDW clubs.

If you want to have dinner at AKL alone, such as at Sannaa or Jiko, there is another option. There is a drop off event that takes place every night at Kidani Village at Community Hall from 6-8 pm. It's called Camp Kidani. You must book it in advance. It costs $25.50 for DVC members. My son loved this & was lucky enough to be the only kid. He had 2 savannah guides from Africa & CM manager to himself. He learned sooo much & had a great time. He got a special lanyard & earned a special pin. I HIGHLY recommend this program.

Thank you for the great info! It is something we are definitely interested in. Wasn't aware you could use other clubs than the resort you are staying in. That opens up a bunch of new options for us!!
