Just wanted to report back that the in-room safes at the Animal Kingdom Lodge ARE large enough to hold a laptop computer!!! I keep forgetting to come and post about this. I know it is a big question. I couldn't find my cable lock before vacation and was a little anxious about it. I was so relieved to find that my laptop would fit in the safe with room to spare for other items. I have an Apple MacBook - it is NOT a huge laptop, so if you have a big one it might not fit, but this safe easily had room for at least a normal sized laptop.
Soooo... take the laptop, use it to watch movies on the plane and then work on those trip reports each night!!!
