What is the difference between the standard Savannah room and the Deluxe Savannah room. I am going in two weeks and I just want to see if I should request and upgrade if possible.

Thanks,
Nick

The standard from is 344sq ft, and either has 2 queen beds, or 1 queen bed and a bunk bed.

The deluxe room is 381sq ft, slightly larger, you can request a king bed, with a day bed or 2 queens

After talking to the cm at AKL, those are the main differences. The deluxe rooms are located on the 5th floor.

When we stayed at AKL in SEpt 2003, we stayed in a sav view standard, and it was fine. we were on the 3rd floor zebra trail room 3507. The bellhop helped us tremendously with our room. The first room we recieved, was a HORRIBLE sav view, it was 3407, basically a view of a rROCK! They changed it to 3507......GREAT view. He recommended the 2nd floor, is even better view then the 3rd, you are at eye level with the animals.

We are headed back to AKL sav View in dec...we can't wait!

Good Luck..you'll love it :)

I think the lowere flors are better for the view...we had 3rd & it was perfect.

You definitely don't want 2nd floor right off the lobby because everyone walks by your room to get to the elevators, which are not in the lobby, but halfway down the left or right halls.
