AKL food court?

We too loved Mara for a food court type of place. We had 7 in our party and probably tried most of the items offered. Everyone agreed on the food. Large portions and always seemed fresh. Service was super fast for us, although the place was pretty empty our first 5 days. After the press arrived service slowed up a bit, but it wasn't any longer then a park CS place.

Everything was cooked just right. Loved the African stew they had. My eldest swore by the breakfast sandwiches. My little one (3) loved those spicy potatoes and was so happy that they had chocolate milk.

Coachman - Yes they have a varity of yogurts. I was really surprised by the fridge section. They even had prune juice and I needed it for my little one on our trip.

I can't remember if they had English muffins, but they had other things, like wheat bread, bagles and a ton more, so you should have no problems meeting your needs. But if I remember right the breakfast sandwiches were on an English muffin, so they probably have them. And if you don't see them, just ask, they are more then happy to help out if they can.

I have to give The Mara a thumbs up for the African stew and especially for the African house salad. That was so good, I had it for lunch one day and dinner the next.

We are coming in from California and will not be checking in until late (arrive at the airport at 10:00PM). Unfortunately we leave California seven hours earlier. I'm afraid we will be hungry by the time we get to the hotel. Anybody know how late Mara is open or how late room service will serve. I figure we will arrive at the hotel between 11:00 and 11:30 - we are taking a town car. Any thoughts for my hungry family.

Ok, nobody laugh... what about the central concourse food court at MCO? We breezed past it last trip but did notice a variety of familiar names (e.g. Sbarro IIRC). Since there's a Hyatt hotel built into MCO I would think there are some reasonable food options for someone coming in late from the left coast. We're contemplating staying at the Hyatt@MCO the first night so as to not have to waste a day at the high rent Disney hotels, so this is a relevant question for us too.

In the past when when have arrived @ a hotel late (after 10 pm) we have called ahead to have snacks waiting for us in our room. We have paid room service prices, but it has been well worth the convience, especially with children. When we stayed @ the Dolphin, we pre-ordered peanut butter and jelly for the kids - and also had some juice boxes and crackers there as well.
Just a thought for you!

They do have plain (flavored) yogurt at the Food Court(no granola)-but it wasn't Yoplait(my fave)
