AKL DVC rooms

Hi. I was planning on booking our last 3 nights at AKL in a deluxe room. We are 4 adults plus a 4 year old. But when I called Disney reservations I was told no deluxe rooms were offered. Then I found out that the DVC took all the deluxe rooms. So, my question is, now what? Is the only way to get a room big enough for us to either pay thru the nose for a suite or rent DVC points? Are there any of those formerly deluxe rooms available to the general public? Please advise.

All of the deluxe rooms at AKL were converted into DVC accomodations. So you're only options are to pay for a suite, cash for DVC or rent points, if you want to stay at AKL.

Thank you for the response. That is what I thought. That doesn't seem right to me, but they didn't ask me, did they? I will try to rent some DVC points.
