Akl DVC merchandise

Hi
In a little over a week I,ll be lodging at AKL the night prior to our cruise ..
I,d like to know can we find DVC related merchandise in the shop at AKL ?
If not wich resorts selling any items ( DVC ) the closest ??
I'd like to surprise DH with either a cap , tshirt .....since this will be our first trip home .

There will be some dvc merchandise in the AKV gift shop. Haven't been out there is a little while so I'm not sure what they currently have out.

Just back. They had mugs and travel mugs. I didn't see caps, but they definitely had t-shirts, sweat shirts, and jacket type wind breakers. They also had some really great auto decals. They were all the the way at the back of the market, on the back right wall.

Oh, I forgot to add, if you see something you want, grab it. We saw some mugs on the first day, (not DVC mugs but Animal Kingdom Lodge) and we said we would get them on our last day. So when we went back on the last day, they were all out. But the CM was able to find us one more. But we wanted two! CM said things sell out fast, so if you see something you want, grab it!
At least I got one!

When we were there a couple of weeks ago, they only offered merchandise with the DVC logo -- nothing specific for Animal Kingdom Villas. I noticed that some of the DVC shirts were on sale.

Not sure what cruise line you are going on but we did get DVC hats at the members reception on the Magic this year.

We just came home from AKV on Sunday. They had a few DVC T-shirts and a black half-zip windbreaker jacket, and a few little things (stickers, keychains, that sort of stuff) but nothing that really excited me. And there was NOTHING with a specific AKV logo - just general DVC.

Our first day at SSR (8/4) they had DVC sweatshirts on clearance but they were all gone the next day.

thanks everybody you've helped me what I'll be looking for is DVC stuff ( not akl ) we will be at aklodge for our first stay just became members and we both wanted something either caps , tshirts , mugs with dvc logo on it .
I,ve read some dvc resorts have more choices but since we will be at akl the night prior to cruise I tought I'd start shopping right there & then lol...

Slightly off-topic, but we also stayed at VWL during our recent trip and I don't remember seeing any VWL-specific merchandise at the merchantile. Did I just not look in the right place?

We never got a print of AKV when we added on, and apparently there haven't been any offered so far. Our "unit" is in Jambo house. I would like to buy a print and can't decide whether to buy a print of Jambo, or wait until one of Kidani is offered. I don't intend to add on any more AKV points, so I will be buying either of them. Should I buy the Jambo, or wait for one of Kidani, if one is offered?

We own at BWV, VWL, VB and BCV as well, and have the "official" DVC print for those.

I just saw an AKV hat for sale elsewhere, so I guess you can get some AKV-specific merchandise. Don't know if it was a gift or public sale.

If it was a tan "bucket hat", those were given out free to members last summer at the Summer on the Savannah party at Epcot's International Gateway.

I tried to check out all of them when I was there 3 weeks ago, but did not get to OKW & VWL.

AKV, BWV, SSR, & BCV all seemed to have exactly the same merchandise....no more, no less, than others.

Woo hoo! I got one of those DVC auto decals last month while there. Even though I wasn't staying there as a member. Very cool!!

My first DVC stay isn't until October.

If you are a pin collector they have resort specific pins. We were able to get AKV pins for our lanyards. When we were at OKW in April they had a very good selection of DVC merchandise.

When we were there in June, I was highly disappointed with the lack of DVC and AKV merchandise available at the Zawadi Marketplace. I asked the CMs at the DVC sales booth at DTD where the best place to find DVC merchandise would be. They told me OKW had by far the largest selection. Didn't get a chance to make it over there.

BTW, I bought two of the tan AKV bucket hats previously mentioned off Ebay when they were first given out last summer. I have a somewhat large head, but the hats were fairly small. They looked good on my 5 year old son and teenaged sister. They fit on our heads, but looked too small on the adults in our party.
