this is the first time I have rented DVC. I just noticed check in is at 4pm, I was planning on checking in much earlier then heading to parks. Is it possible to check in earlier? If not, will they hold bags like regular hotel so we can go to park?

Yes, they will hold your bags for you. You should get a text when your room is ready.

Chances are very good that you will have to wait until at least 4 PM to get into your villa. Unlike the hotel rooms, DVC operates at almost full capacity every day of the year and changeovers between guests take time to complete properly. But as a PP pointed out, you will be able to check you bags with bell services and head off to the parks.

OP - The luggage issue has been covered by the PPs, but just so you know you can check in as early as 6am- room ready or not. That's when the resort computers roll over to the next day's reservations.

I have always been under the impression that you can check in whenever you want but your room just won't be ready. They will definitely hold your luggage because they want you in the parks as soon as possible
