We are booked in a deluxe savannah room for August for 2 nights in between 2 different 2 BR villa stays at SSR and BCV. We are a family of 5: 2 adults, an almost 13 year old, a 10 year old, and a 5 year old. Is the daybed comfortable to sleep on? Does it fold out like a sleeper sofa or is it just like sleeping on a couch? The 5 year old has claimed the upper bunk LOL...and I can just see the older 2 arguing about who is going to have to sleep on the daybed...although there better not be any spoiled behavior in WDW!

What are some AKL daybed experiences? The times we stayed at the Yacht Club and the Swan, we had a rollaway bed, not a daybed.

The daybed is a pull out couch, I think, not like a trundle bed.

We have stayed at YC and the Poly and they both had twin daybeds and at CR we had a couch that flipped over to a daybed. All were very comfortable and large enough for an adult.

The AKL daybed is a pull-out couch. When we stayed there we just kept it open and housekeeping made the bed every day.

The Daybed at the AKL is sort of a new kind of bed. It does not fold out into a bed like normal pull outs do. You grab a hold of the back of the couch (the part you rest your back agains when sitting on the couch) and pull it down. It folds forward and there is a nice thick matress with sheets on it. It is about the size of a twin bed matress. I didn't sleep on it but layed down on it and it was great. The people who did sleep on it said it was fine.
