AKL Construction

How bad is it? Would you still stay there while construction is ongoing? We are thinking of booking for December but I am worried about our timing. Maybe we should book WL instead and save AKL for fall 2009.

We just stayed there this past week on the Zebra Trail side. During the week I heard a little construction noise when I was out on the balcony but that was it. Nothing to prevent me from staying there again!

We just got back on Sunday. Our first villa overlooked the construction. I was told that there would be noise from 9-5. I took my coffee out on the balcony the next morning before 6:30am and they were in full swing already. Beeping noises from trucks, two working cranes, and large walls being lifted into place. We were moved to a nice quiet room on the Uhzima savannah. In my opinion, the rooms that view the construction should be deeply discounted. I would hate to be a manager or rooms assigner there right now.
