AKL & construction

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum so I hope I do this right. We are wanted to go in May 2008 and stay at the AKL but I am worried about the noise from construction. Has anyone stayed since it started and if so what did you think? Would you stay somewhere else until it ends? I have a 3 year old who still takes naps and I am worried that he won't be able to sleep during the day. Thanks for the input, Stephanie

Bumping this up because I am wondering the same thing, but for June of 2008.

I think for the most part they'll be almost done with the major construction that makes all the really loud noises, IMO & experience, we stayed at BWI when they were building the villas, and the noise wasn't bad at all. We never really heard anything, and if we did it was after breakfast and on our way to/from the parks. WE never noticed it. If your really concerned, switch your resort or when you get closer to your stay call and ask to speak to a Resort manager for there opinion on the noise, etc.

They will have completed all the construction inside Jambo House (AKL) way before then. However, the construction of the new Kidani Village will still be going on through all of 2008.
