AKL Construction noise... compensation??

Fairness meters are all well & good, but personal responsibility meters factor into these situations as well. If I'm forewarned about the possibility of construction noise but I decide to simply go for it and hope for the best, I need to point those fingers of disappointment squarely where they belong... at my overly optimistic self.

If there's anything unfair in this situation, it's expecting to be moved or compensated for bad judgement and a gambler's decision that didn't pay off.

You're not supposed to be leaving the door open!! You'll mess up the air conditioning, and let bugs in.

As for the noise - the others are right. It was clearly communicated there might be noise. I've had a few stays on sunset savannah since construction started (last one was thanksgiving weekend) and never heard any noise at all. I had my door closed, but even when I was outside I didn't hear any construction noise.

shame OP was dissatisfied, yet when u r advised that construction is ongoing, not much u can complain about unless they r working during the evening/sleeping hours

fyi, during our visit in mid Oct. they didn't start work until 8 amish, no big deal for us
