AKL connecting rooms?

Does AKL have any connecting rooms? We are going Dec. 2-5 with our DD and 11-month-old granddaughter. Her hubby starts a new job this week and so will be unable to go on our trip with us. We would like to be able to help DD with the baby since daddy won't be there to help, and it would be way easier if we had connecting rooms. We have booked pool view but would happily pay extra $$ to get adjoining. Also, has anyone ever been able to upgrade (for a price, of course) to concierge at check-in?

Yes, there are many connecting rooms at the AKL.
And yes, there have been upgrades to concierge at check-in.
Usually though, you have to pay the difference between your room rate and conciege rate.

I would try to book concierge in advance as they do sell out!
They'll make sure to get your requests and make all your PS's and extra pixie dust will be added to your trip!

We were there the first week of October. We had booked a standard pool view room, and just happened to ask at check - in if we could have a free upgrade.

We got a Savannah room at no charge.. it was on the 2nd floor, waaaaaaaaaay at the end, had to walk forever to get there, but the view was awesome. Anyway... I said all that to say, it WAS part of an adjoining room so yes, I know they are available.
