AKL: Connecting Rooms: Request?

We are 2 adults and three children (under 10) and have 2 savannah rooms booked for first week of Feb. I know we are guaranteed connecting rooms since we have minor children, but does anyone know how many rooms are connecting and if they are spread across the different savannahs? I'm wondering if I should submit a request for a particular savannah (wanted to be closer to the pool side (arusha and uzima?)) or just see what is available when we get there. Also wondering if we could get 1 room with the 2 queens and the other with the 1 queen/bunkbed configuration.

I don't have an answer for you, but I would like to know how many rooms are connected in AKL for our trip in March. We just stayed at Poly and there was a door to the room next door - we could really hear our noisy neighbors.

I don't know for sure how many are connecting, but I would say quite a few. From everything I saw when I was there, and everything I've read on the DIS, no one has complained about that request not being honored. We had the configuration that you want and were on the Uzima Savannah (and loved it)! If I were going again I would request "NS, connecting rooms in the
Zebra Trail" and take my chances on the savannah. We have heard good and bad reports about all of them. We liked Uzima because it was smaller and we did hear a few complaints at the resort that on Arusha some people felt the animals were too far away. Zebra Trail is the hall closer to the pool/food court/arcade and it was very convenient. Just make sure your requests are listed in order of importance to you. Request a particular savannah if you want, or throw caution to the wind and request nothing. You will have a great time either way, AKL is wonderful!
