We are considering tacking on a Friday and Saturday AKL concierge stay to the end of our vacation in January. We love AKL and we want to do the Sunrise Safari. Not sure if it's worth spending $700.00+++ to do this. This is a child-free visit for us and we will have time to hang out and be pampered. What exactly should we expect at a concierge level of stay?

I just added 3 nights at AKL Concierge for a trip in November. Let me tell you that already I feel that is is well worth it. I've recieved amazing service from the concierge staff. They are crackerjack at helping me get reservations for dinners, spa treatments and the sunset safari. Also, they are being wonderful in helping me plan some special surprises for my husband as this is our delayed honeymoon. They respond very quickly and are very pleasant and friendly to work with. If you are going to experience concierge, I think this is the place to do it.

AKL Concierge was our very first experience with this level of service- and it remains our favorite.

The staff is outstanding (and we bribe them shamelessly whenever we come)!! Last year we stayed with them for a few nights before my DB and family came into town on 12/23- and they snagged us a CRT PS for Christmas Day!! We left AKL on the 22nd, and they made the arrangements for us even though we wouldn't be staying with them on the day of the PS.

BTW, rack rate for Concierge is $610 + tax a night. I'm hoping for an AP rate this year....... but DH enjoys his time there so much that if I can save anything at all- he'll be happy.

He has a crush on the cappuccino machine...........

Thanks guys! I also found a BUNCH of information at Allearsnet.com. We still haven't decided if we are going to stay...mostly we are waiting to see if we can get a discount because we don't want to pay rack rate...in January I think it is closer to $450 a night...but that is still to much for me! Hopefully we will get the kind of discount they are offering in September which is $345 a night...plus tax of course.

Sounds like a great place to stay. We've stayed at AKL in a regular room and loved it. I love the way that place smells...nothing like it.

Our rate for December is $335 a night- but I'm still holding out for AP rates........
