I'm booked at AKL savannah view Oct 26-11/2. We are considering upgrading to concierge (if we get a deal).
If you've had concierge service, please answer our questions.

Was it worth it to you?

Is the food/snacks out all the time or just at certain times?

Are the drinks always available (especially the smoothies)?

What was your favorite part of the concierge service?

Thanks for your input....

Generally I wouldn't answer this question as I don't believe Concierge is ever intended to be "worth it". It is intended for the traveller who requires more particular attention & doesn't have to worry about cost...But, since you asked about AKL Concierge I will answer. I have stayed on this level (as an upgrade) and I can say that I WOULD pay for this particular Concierge service for one reason...Sunrise Safari. Only AKL Concierge guests get to do it and it is great...So is the breakfast afterwords!

So Concierge in general? I say how fat is your wallet. AKL Concierge? I say go for it!

For AKL yes. Favorite part would be the Safari, the coffee special machine, and CM getting me CRT at the last minute.

DS#1 would say the smoothies (I think they were available most of the day), terra chips, and the CM who went out of her way to get him batteries for his Star Wars light saber without him asking. I think she got a kick out of the fact that he was 15 and upset the size batteries he needed were nowhere to be found.

DS#2 would say the sweets, the Safari, and breakfast after the Safari.

It is worth it! We enjoyed the breakfasts before heading out to the parks, and then when returning back to the lodge around 9:30 the cookies, desserts, and liquors were a great bed time snack. The smoothies were probably the best part and out at most everytime we visited. I missed the safari, but my sister and daughter stayed longer, and still talk about it and that was Thanksgiving - last year.

The only thing that I wasn't happy about is that we were on the 5th floor (conciere is on the sixth floor) and the walk to get to the elevators was very FAR.:bounce:

What's the Sunrise Safari?

Here's my page on the SUNRISE SAFARI. :)
